The Regulated Leader

Become the steadiest person in the room, and watch your team follow.

Private 1:1 coaching over 3 or 6 months for leaders who already know what good leadership looks like, but lose access to it when the pressure hits.

Your day was planned at 7am. By 9, it was gone.

Another fire. Another manager at your door with a problem instead of a solution. You fix it, because it's faster.

Then you carry it. Along with the mood of every person below you, the numbers the board wants by Friday, and the conversation you've been putting off for three weeks.

You carry it home to dinner. You carry it into the 3am replay.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, you hear yourself snap at someone who didn't deserve it.

Or rescue a manager who should have handled it.

Or answer one more email at 10pm, because switching off feels like letting go of the wheel.

You already know better. That's what makes it so frustrating.

It isn't a leadership problem. It's a nervous system that's never been off duty.

You've read the books. You've done the courses. Some of you have done years of therapy. You understand exactly why you do what you do.

Under pressure, though, your body takes over before your strategy does. The jaw tightens. The breath goes high. The fuse shortens. In that moment the part of you that knows better simply isn't available.

Or, far more often, it never shows at work at all.

You're the calm one in the boardroom. You grin and bear it. You hold it together for the board, the managers and everyone watching your face for clues. Then you drive home with it still humming through your body.

And it lands on the people you love most. The short answer to your partner. No patience left for the kids. Sitting at the dinner table while your mind is still in the office. Your team gets the great leader. Your family gets whatever's left.

Either way, the pressure goes somewhere. It always does.

That isn't a character flaw. It's physiology, doing exactly what it was built to do, for years longer than it was ever meant to.

Your team doesn't follow your strategy first. They follow your nervous system.

Every workplace is a family system. You're the one at the head of the table.

In the first few years of life, before we have words for anything, our nervous system learns what to expect from the people we depend on. Is it safe to need someone? Will they come when I call? Do I have to be perfect to be loved?

Those answers become our attachment style. They run on automatic for the rest of our lives, until someone shows us another way.

Then we go to work, and work hands us a family. The boss becomes the parent. Colleagues become siblings. Under pressure, everyone's old wiring fires, yours included.

The manager who goes silent when your voice sharpens. The two department heads fighting like siblings for your approval. The high performer who says "all good" while quietly falling apart. None of them is choosing it. They're reacting to the most powerful nervous system in the building.

That's yours.

The good news is that one thing shifts every attachment pattern, at any age: safety. A leader who is secure in themselves creates it for everyone around them. That's the regulated leader.

First you become secure. Then you become the safe place.

Stage one: you become steady. We start with your body, because that's where pressure lands first. You learn to notice activation before it leaks into the room, and to release it with fascial and nervous system tools that take minutes, not a week off. Then we look at the patterns that run you when the stakes are high, and where they came from.

Stage two: you change how you relate. Every person in your business carries the same inner needs: to feel safe, seen, valued, and to know they belong. When those needs are met, people do their best work. When they aren't, they spend their energy protecting themselves. You learn to meet those needs inside a professional relationship, not as their parent and not as their therapist. Real check-ins. Calm feedback. Conflict handled without picking favourites. Clear expectations held with warmth.

Four Areas we work across

Body

Staying calm and present in the room, so you respond instead of react.

Patterns

What runs you under pressure: control, rescuing, avoidance, overwork.

System

The hidden dynamics in your team, and what you inherited about work, money and rest.

Presence

Holding the energy of the whole business without it overwhelming you.

The work moves at the pace your body allows. Each session follows what's most active and most ready, not a fixed script.

What leaders walk away with

Managers who bring solutions, not problems

A leadership team you trust to run without constant check-ins

Decisions made from a clear head, not a racing one

Hard conversations you walk into curious, not braced

A team that settles when you walk in, instead of tensing up

Walking in the front door as the person your family has been missing, not what's left of you.

What happens when the leader changes

Client details are kept private. These are real outcomes.

A 150-person software company went from borrowing to make payroll to exceeding its KPIs within 12 months, and was sold the following year. The Executive General Manager went on to sit on three boards.

A director of a 300+ person business across Queensland and New South Wales broke a cycle of staff turnover, filled the critical role at the centre of it, and stepped back from daily check-ins while the business kept growing.

The founders of a seasonal business stuck in a partnership heading for court completed a clean buyout within six months, and a relocation stalled for months finally went through.

This is for you if

You lead people, and the pressure of it is following you home

You understand your patterns but still repeat them when it counts

You've done coaching, courses or therapy and want it to finally show up in the room

You're willing to look at your own part in what's happening around you

You value discretion, depth and support tailored to you

You're ready to make a significant investment in yourself and your business

It isn't for you if you're looking for a quick fix, a strategy session or someone to tell your team what to do. This work changes the leader first.

Your Immersion includes

Private 1:1 sessions in a personalised rhythm, set with you at enrolment and built around your calendar

Between-session support during agreed hours, for the moments that can't wait for the next session

The full online course library, so you can keep working between sessions

Practical body tools you can use before a board meeting, after a hard call or in the car park

In person in Brisbane or online, wherever you are

Approaches are chosen for you, not from a menu. They draw on body-led somatic work, fascial manoeuvres, nervous system regulation, Organisational and Family Constellations, and parts work.

I read bodies for a living.

I’m Tracy Malone, founder of Fascia is Freedom.

For 18 years I've sat with CEOs, company owners, directors and board members. Most came to me for something personal: a relationship, an old pain, a body that wouldn't let go. They stayed because the work changed how they led.

I'm a somatic coach, holistic counsellor and Family Constellations facilitator, trained in Polyvagal Theory, TRE, hypnotherapy and Human Garage fascial manoeuvres. I don't hand you another framework. I help you become the steady person your people have been waiting for.

Three steps, no pressure.

1. Apply. Book a time for a call. Tell me what's happening for you, what you've already tried and what you want to change.

2. In the private conversation. If it looks like a fit, we'll talk about the right level of support. You'll get an honest answer, even if that's "not me".

3. Begin. We set your session rhythm and start with your body.

frequently asked questions

Is this therapy?

Yes. Somatic work is a body-based form of therapy that goes beyond talking. Everything is built on safety. Your body chooses what it’s ready to work with, based on what’s coming up for you in real time, so you’re never pushed somewhere you’re not ready to go.

Do I need to stop seeing my psychologist or doctor?

No. Because this is somatic work, it sits alongside psychology, medical care and EAP rather than replacing them. Many leaders find each one makes the other more effective.

Can it help with anxiety, burnout or trauma?

Yes. I work with the patterns behind stress, anxiety, burnout, trauma responses and relationship struggles, and how they live in the body. I don’t work with bipolar disorder, dissociative identity disorder or other conditions that need specialist psychiatric care. If that’s what you need, I’ll tell you honestly and point you to the right support.

Will we talk about my childhood?

Yes, at some point. That’s where most core wounds begin, and it’s often where the pressure you feel at work first took root. We go there when your body is ready, at your pace, and you never have to relive your story to heal it.

How much time does it take?

Your session rhythm is set at enrolment around your calendar. The body tools take minutes a day, and they can save you hours of reactive firefighting.

Will anyone at work know?

Not unless you tell them. Everything is confidential.

Can my business pay?

Yes. Invoices can be issued to your company.

What's the difference between 3 and 6 months?

Three months steadies you and shifts your first key patterns. Six months carries that change into how you relate to your team, so it holds under any pressure.

I'm not a CEO. Is this still for me?

If you lead people and feel the weight of it, yes. Founders, directors, general managers and senior managers all do this work.

Your team is waiting for the steadiest version of you.

You don't need another strategy. You need a nervous system that lets you use the one you have. Let's talk about the fire you put out this morning, and what your leadership could feel like without it.

I acknowledge the Gurumgul people, the First Nations custodians of the land on which I live and work. I honour their deep connection to this Country, which has held and sustained life for countless generations.

I recognise that the Gurumgul people never ceded their sovereignty, and that this land was taken from them. I acknowledge the truth of this history with respect, humility, and a commitment to remembrance.

Although the Gurumgul people, their language, stories, and traditions are no longer present in living memory, I recognise their enduring presence in the land itself. The rivers, soil, trees, and skies continue to carry the imprint of their care, wisdom, and belonging. I hear it in the birds and feel it in the earth beneath my feet and the wind as it blows.

I live on this land with respect and reverence. I honour its history, walk gently upon it, and remain committed to caring for Country in a spirit of gratitude, humility, and stewardship.
