somatic sessions with horses

Come to the paddock. Let the horses be horses. Let your body stop performing

A private 90-minute embodied session combining hands-on Human Garage fascial manoeuvres, guided nervous-system and somatic practices, and the freely chosen presence of my horses.

There is something different about being close to a horse who does not need anything from you.

She is not asking for the polished answer. She is not interested in the version of you that can explain everything. She responds to what is here - your pace, your breath, your energy, your presence.

On my private acreage in Wights Mountain, you have room to leave the noise behind and work with your body in a way that is difficult to recreate inside a clinic room or through a screen.

We move. We breathe. We walk. We use hands-on fascial manoeuvres and guided practices to find the places where the body is still braced, stuck, disconnected, or holding an unfinished pattern.

The horses may come closer. They may graze nearby. They may move away.

They are free to choose - and you are, too.

90 minutes | In person | Wights Mountain, Brisbane | $397

this is not This is not somatic trauma coaching

You will not spend 90 minutes sitting opposite me, retelling your story or trying to find the perfect words for what happened.

This is embodied learning and movement.

We work with what your body is doing now.

The breath that stops. The shoulder that rises. The legs that want to move but stay still. The belly that tightens. The energy that surges and then disappears. The place where your body started a response but never had the time, safety, support, or space to complete it.

We do not need to analyse every sensation.

We give the body an experience through movement, breath, attention, fascial work, grounding, walking, rest, and integration.

The purpose is not to force a dramatic release. It is to help the body find enough support to unstick, unlock, move, and come back into relationship with itself.

the horses change the field

horses are a part of the healing

There is something very different about doing this work with horses nearby.

Horses are incredibly sensitive beings. They feel energy, tension, rhythm and changes in our state long before we consciously recognise what is happening inside us.

I believe horses are energy healers. They live in a different frequency to us, deeply connected to their bodies, their environment and the present moment. They don't carry the stories, expectations and masks that we humans so often do.

They simply are.

When you begin to soften, slow down and come back into your body, a horse may respond. When something shifts in your energy, they may notice it before your mind has caught up.

Sometimes their presence seems to bring things to the surface that you didn't even realise you were carrying.

You don't have to make anything happen.

You don't need to interact with the horses. You don't need to understand what they are doing. You simply get to be in their presence while you reconnect with your own body.

I see this as a beautiful form of co-regulation and energetic expansion.

The horses are not there to perform, be handled or act as therapists. They are free to move around the property, graze, rest or come closer if they choose.

There are no guarantees that a horse will interact with you. That's part of the beauty of working with another sentient being. They have their own boundaries, their own energy and their own choices.

What I can offer you is the space.

Bare feet on the earth.
Your body moving and releasing.
Fresh air.
Open land.
The rhythm of nature.
And horses grazing nearby, simply being horses.

You get to slow down enough to feel what your body has been trying to tell you.

And sometimes, in that space, something lets go that you didn't even know you were ready to release.

Hands-on work can take the practice somewhere you cannot take it alone

Self-led fascial manoeuvres are powerful because they place the practice in your own hands.

My hands can create an anchor while your body moves. I can pin and lock the fascia while guiding a counter-rotation. I can work from an angle you cannot easily reach yourself. I can maintain an opposing line while you give your attention to breath, sensation, and the movement happening inside you.

Human Garage’s hands-on partner work uses these added angles, anchors, and lines of tension to extend what is possible in a self-led manoeuvre. The receiver remains actively involved; this is not something simply done to you.

I listen with my hands and eyes. I notice when the tissue, breath, movement, or nervous system asks for less, more, a different direction, or time to pause.

I do not force your body into a release.

I work with you, gently and safely, so the part of your mind trying to coordinate, protect, and get everything right does not have to manage the entire experience alone.

You remain in choice throughout. I explain what I am doing, check in with you, and adapt the contact and movement according to your response.

Standing, moving, walking - or supported on the table

Your session is not built from a fixed protocol.

Some of the work takes place standing. We may use guided fascial manoeuvres, orientation, breath, shaking, sound, slow movement, grounding, or walking integration.

Some patterns need an experienced pair of hands and more support.

I have a massage table available when lying down makes it easier for your body to receive the hands-on work. On the table, I can support the weight of a limb, create a fascial anchor, guide rotation, and help your body explore a range it cannot organise in the same way by itself.

This is not massage, and you are not a passive recipient.

Even when you are lying down, we are working together. Your breath, sensation, feedback, movement, and choice remain part of the session.

Then we return to standing or walking so your body can feel what has changed and begin integrating the new pattern.

I read bodies for a living

You do not need to arrive knowing which manoeuvre you need.

You do not have to identify the exact fascial line, explain why you feel stuck, or decide whether your body needs movement, grounding, nervous-system support, hands-on work, or rest.

That is the value of working with me privately.

I listen to your words, and I listen to your body.

I notice breath, posture, bracing, rotation, pace, energy, orientation, connection, and the moment your body shifts from presence into protection. And I am able to read your body somatically through mine.

I can often feel the body speaking before you can feel the whole pattern yourself.

Then I choose the doorway that is available now.

Sometimes that is a self-led fascial manoeuvre. Sometimes it is hands-on work. Sometimes your body needs to orient, move, make sound, find a boundary, walk, pause, or settle before we do anything else.

The session is shaped in real time around pressure, nervous-system state, and what your body is ready to move towards completion.

This experience is for you if…

You love horses as sentient beings and feel drawn to the way their presence changes a space.

You are longing for time on open land but do not have regular access to acreage, horses, and the quiet that exists beyond a clinic room.

You are tired of understanding the pattern intellectually while still feeling it in your body.

You can feel that something is unfinished - an impulse, a movement, a boundary, a breath, a response - and you want a skilled practitioner beside you while you work with it.

You want more than a self-led video, but you do not want to hand your body over and become passive.

You are ready for a private experience that brings fascial work, nervous-system awareness, embodied movement, nature, and the presence of horses together.

A combination I have not found offered anywhere else

I am one of a very small number of Human Garage fascial manoeuvre coaches working in Brisbane.

To my knowledge, this is the only private experience of its kind bringing hands-on Human Garage fascial manoeuvres, embodied nervous-system and somatic practice, a private acreage setting, and the freely chosen presence of horses together in one session.

That is what makes this my signature offering.

It is not a fascial session with horses added for atmosphere.

It is not an equine experience with a few body-based tools added around it.

Every part of the session belongs together: my ability to read the body, the access created by hands-on fascial work, the movement and integration, the land, and the horses’ autonomous presence.

You can receive the work, participate in it, and remain connected to your own body throughout.

Medical Context Note

Fascial manoeuvres, Polyvagal-informed education, vagus-nerve practices, and somatic tools are educational and experiential and are designed to sit alongside appropriate medical care, not replace it. Please continue to work with qualified healthcare professionals for pain, injury, persistent symptoms, or other medical concerns, and ask them whether movement-based practices are appropriate for you.

I acknowledge the Gurumgul people, the First Nations custodians of the land on which I live and work. I honour their deep connection to this Country, which has held and sustained life for countless generations.

I recognise that the Gurumgul people never ceded their sovereignty, and that this land was taken from them. I acknowledge the truth of this history with respect, humility, and a commitment to remembrance.

Although the Gurumgul people, their language, stories, and traditions are no longer present in living memory, I recognise their enduring presence in the land itself. The rivers, soil, trees, and skies continue to carry the imprint of their care, wisdom, and belonging. I hear it in the birds and feel it in the earth beneath my feet and the wind as it blows.

I live on this land with respect and reverence. I honour its history, walk gently upon it, and remain committed to caring for Country in a spirit of gratitude, humility, and stewardship.
