your body is not giving you a list of seperate problems

It is showing you one connected pattern

The treatment helped your back. The breathing practice helped you settle. The diet helped your gut. The supplements gave you more energy.

And then your body circled back.

The pain returned. Your skin flared. Your digestion became reactive. Your jaw started gripping again. You were exhausted at the end of the day - but your body still could not switch off.

The improvement was real. So is the fact that it did not last.

I read bodies for a living. I bring Human Garage fascial manoeuvres, Polyvagal-informed nervous-system work, vagus-nerve practices, and somatic tools together because I do not see your pain, stress, fatigue, bracing, and recurring body issues as unrelated events.

I look for the pattern connecting them.

you are doing so much right

you are not new to health

You know which foods support you. You understand inflammation, hydration, minerals, sleep, movement, and the nervous system. You have read the books, listened to the podcasts, taken the supplements, followed the protocols, and found practitioners you trust.

You can often improve the problem.

Your physio gets your hip moving again. Your chiropractor settles your neck. Acupuncture softens the flare. The gut protocol works. The breathwork helps you feel calmer. The vagus-nerve regulation exercises gives you a shift.

But weeks or months later, you find yourself back in a familiar place.

You are booking another appointment. Reopening the supplement cupboard. Searching the symptom at 10:47 PM. Wondering which piece you have missed this time.

I do not think you have failed to try hard enough.

I think each approach may have supported a real part of you - while your body is still asking for those parts to be understood together.

i read bodies for a living

before you have found the words, your body is already speaking

I notice the breath that stays high in your chest. The shoulder that rises before you answer. The jaw that grips while you say you are fine. The ribcage that barely rotates. The feet that stop feeling the ground. The movement that looks strong but is organised around protection.

I notice when your energy becomes scattered, flat, urgent, or far away. I notice when you are trying to think your way through something your body is already responding to.

That is what I mean when I say a body has gone offline.

You have not disappeared. Your intelligence has not left. But your access to sensation, choice, pace, and connection has narrowed because your body is using its resources to protect you.

My work is not to decide that every person needs the same tool.

I read which conversation your body is asking for:

The conversation What I am noticing How I work with it
Pressure Pain, restriction, bracing, compensation, or load concentrated in the fascial web. Human Garage fascial manoeuvres using pinning and locking, counter-rotation, slow movement, breath, and walking integration.
State Activation, overwhelm, collapse, disconnection, restlessness, or difficulty moving from effort into recovery. Polyvagal-informed nervous-system education and practical vagus-nerve support through breath, sound, orientation, movement, pacing, and co-regulation.
Completion A stress or protective response that began in the body but never found a way to finish. Somatic tools that support sensation, movement, expression, boundaries, rest, and integration without forcing.

Sometimes fascia is the clearest doorway. Sometimes we begin with nervous-system state. Sometimes your body needs enough connection and support to complete something it has been holding.

I know how to work across all three levels - and how to recognise which one your body can access today.

pressure: the fascia Conversation

Fascia is the connective web running through and around your whole body. It relates muscles, joints, bones, organs, nerves, posture, and movement.

I describe it as the internet of the body.

A painful shoulder is not operating alone. Neither is a tight hip, gripping jaw, stiff lower back, reactive gut, or body that braces under pressure. The place asking for your attention can be part of a much wider pattern.

The Human Garage approach sees pain and restriction through the lens of pressure in this fascial web. When pressure becomes concentrated or stuck, the body adapts around it. Other areas compensate. Movement changes. Muscles brace. You can keep treating the place that hurts while the larger pressure pattern remains.

Human Garage fascial manoeuvres work with that wider pattern.

They combine pinning and locking, counter-rotation, slow movement, breath, and walking integration. The sequence is designed to work with fascial blocks, invite pressure to redistribute through the web, and give the body a different pattern to experience.

Then you walk.

The walking gives your body time to register what has changed and begin adapting before the next manoeuvre.

Pin. Lock. Counter-rotate. Breathe. Move slowly. Walk. Notice.

This is not passive bodywork. It is a practice you learn to participate in yourself.

this work was created by people who love bodywork

i value bodyworkers who help people every day

Human Garage grew from a multidisciplinary bodywork environment. Its founders and practitioners were working closely with clients, bringing together experience from different forms of bodywork and watching people change under skilled hands.

They also saw clients return with the same pattern - or something very similar to where they had started.

The frustration was not that bodywork had failed. The work had helped.

The frustration was that the practitioners felt responsible for repeatedly holding their clients’ bodies together.

So they began asking a different question:

How do we give people a way to participate in their own bodies rather than depending entirely on someone else to create the shift?

Fascial manoeuvres grew from that search.

Not as an attack on chiropractors, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, massage therapists, osteopaths, or other practitioners, because they themselves were these practitioners.

As an additional, self-led practice that can place more understanding and practical capacity in your own hands.

Human Garage’s public mission is global: to inspire people to access the body’s capacity for self-healing through fascial manoeuvres and embodied education.

I am one of the first practitioners bringing this work to Brisbane because I believe it deserves to become a movement - not another wellness phase you try and forget.

state: the nervous system conversation

Your nervous system is not only asking, “Am I calm?”

It is constantly organising your energy, attention, movement, digestion, heart rate, breath, connection, and readiness to respond.

You need activation to meet a deadline, protect a boundary, exercise, focus, and act. You also need the capacity to come back - to breathe more freely, digest, sleep, connect, play, and recover.

Regulation does not mean staying calm all day. It means having enough range to respond and return.

The vagus nerves are central pathways in the parasympathetic nervous system, carrying information among the brain, heart, lungs, and digestive system. I use Polyvagal Theory as a practical lens for understanding why the body can remain mobilised, shut down, or disconnected even when the mind knows the immediate moment has passed.

Vagus-nerve toning in my work is not one magic exercise.

It is the repeated practice of building more capacity through breath, sound, orienting, pacing, movement, recovery, and safe connection. It helps you recognise your state earlier and gives your body more than one response to reach for.

I am not trying to eliminate your protective responses.

I am helping you build the flexibility to move through them and come back online to embodied safety.

completion: the somatic conversation

you receive the difficult message and your stomach drops

Your jaw tightens. Your breath changes. Your shoulders lift. Energy moves through your body, ready to protect you, speak, leave, push back, or act.

But you stay polite. You finish the meeting. You answer the next email. You make dinner. You keep moving.

The event ends. The body response does not always finish with it.

That unfinished pattern can keep appearing as tension, restlessness, numbness, irritation, collapse, or the feeling that you are tired but cannot fully rest.

Somatic tools give us a way to work with what is happening in the body - not only the story about it.

We may use sensation, movement, breath, sound, orientation, boundaries, shaking, walking, rest, or supported attention. The purpose is not to manufacture a dramatic release. It is to give the body enough time, choice, and support to move towards completion and integration.

This is where my work becomes more than fascia or nervous-system education alone.

Fascial manoeuvres work with pressure. Nervous-system practices work with state and capacity. Somatic tools support completion.

Together, they help me meet the connected pattern your body is showing me.

your body has an intelligence you can learn to work with

your body is already adapting, communicating, protecting, repairing and reorganising every day

My role is not to convince you that you can heal everything alone.

My role is to help you become a more active participant in the process - to understand your signals, work with pressure and state, and have practices you can use between appointments and inside real life.

The goal is not independence from every practitioner.

It is less helplessness inside your own body.

It is recognising the moment your shoulders rise, your breath disappears, your movement changes, or your energy goes offline - and knowing there is somewhere to begin.

That is what Fascia is Freedom means to me.

un-brace yourself - free instant-access class

Your jaw, neck, and shoulders are often where pressure, state, and unfinished stress become easy to recognise.

In Un-Brace Yourself, I guide you through a 30-minute introduction combining Human Garage fascial manoeuvres with nervous-system and somatic tools.

You will experience what it is like to work with the body through movement, breath, attention, pressure, and integration - rather than collecting another explanation and promising yourself you will use it later.

You do not need equipment or previous experience. You can begin at home, in the body you have today.

about me

My name is Tracy Malone - a somatic trauma coach, Polyvagal-informed nervous-system practitioner, Human Garage fascial manoeuvre practitioner, and body reader.

I have spent my professional life learning to see what the body is communicating beneath the words.

I know the difference between a person who needs more activation and a person whose system is already doing too much. I know when adding intensity will create more bracing. I know when the body needs orientation, pressure, movement, breath, co-regulation, space, or time to integrate.

The addition of Human Garage fascial manoeuvres gave me a practical key to work with the physical pressure patterns that I could already see.

It allowed me to bring the conversations together:

What is happening in the fascia? What state is the nervous system in? What has the body not yet completed?

That is the depth you receive when you work with me.

Not a single technique applied to every person.

A practitioner who sees the body on multiple levels and knows how to help you find the doorway that is available now.

you do not need one more disconnected answer

You can keep supporting your body with good food, supplements, skilled practitioners, movement, rest, and everything you already know.

I am not asking you to abandon any of it.

I am inviting you to add the missing relationship between pressure, state, and completion.

To understand why relief can be real and still temporary.

To recognise that pain, stress, fatigue, bracing, and recurring body issues do not always belong in separate conversations.

To experience what changes when someone reads the whole pattern - and teaches you how to participate in it.

Begin with 30 minutes.

Medical Context Note

Fascial manoeuvres, Polyvagal-informed education, vagus-nerve practices, and somatic tools are educational and experiential and are designed to sit alongside appropriate medical care, not replace it. Please continue to work with qualified healthcare professionals for pain, injury, persistent symptoms, or other medical concerns, and ask them whether movement-based practices are appropriate for you.

I acknowledge the Gurumgul people, the First Nations custodians of the land on which I live and work. I honour their deep connection to this Country, which has held and sustained life for countless generations.

I recognise that the Gurumgul people never ceded their sovereignty, and that this land was taken from them. I acknowledge the truth of this history with respect, humility, and a commitment to remembrance.

Although the Gurumgul people, their language, stories, and traditions are no longer present in living memory, I recognise their enduring presence in the land itself. The rivers, soil, trees, and skies continue to carry the imprint of their care, wisdom, and belonging. I hear it in the birds and feel it in the earth beneath my feet and the wind as it blows.

I live on this land with respect and reverence. I honour its history, walk gently upon it, and remain committed to caring for Country in a spirit of gratitude, humility, and stewardship.
